Job summary

A leading support services provider in the UK is seeking a passionate Training Area Operative to join their team. In this role, you will maintain safe and efficient training areas for the Armed Forces. The position offers a competitive salary, 37 hours per week with varied shifts, and excellent benefits, including a pension scheme and holiday entitlement. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a valid UK driving license, and an enthusiasm for working outdoors. Training will be provided for necessary skills and tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Defence Training Estate is kept in top condition.
  • Carry out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment, fencing, dry stone walling.
  • Drive and operate fleet vehicles.
  • Ensure facilities adhere to strict safety protocols.

Skills

Knowledge of Landscape and Grounds Maintenance
Excellent communication skills
Basic IT skills with ability to use a tablet
Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced team environment
Good knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety protocols
Valid Manual UK driving licence
