Regulator of Social Housing
The Regulator of Social Housing regulates registered providers of social housing to promote an efficient and well-governed sector that can deliver homes to meet a range of needs.
Responsibilities
- Join the Data Protection, Information Access and Complaints (DPIAC) team on a 2 year fixed-term contract.
- Manage responses to information requests under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018), the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, including requests for re-use of information.
- Liaise with colleagues to identify and retrieve information, consider exemptions/exceptions, consult third parties where necessary, and prepare responses.
- Review and update the regulator’s privacy notices and ensure procurement processes are fit for purpose.
- Participate in training staff and provide reports on the regulator’s performance in response to information access requests; support information management activities.
- Oversee the complaints process and review and prepare responses to complaints about the regulator.
Requirements (Qualifications and Experience)
- Knowledge and experience of responding to Freedom of Information, Data Protection or Environmental Information requests.
- Ability to work across the Regulator of Social Housing and collaborate with colleagues to identify, retrieve and manage information.
