Job description

Our leading International client are looking for a Data Project Manager to join them on a contract basis. You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of complex data projects, ensuring alignment with the clients business objectives and technical strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Oversee and manage the end-to-end execution of data projects across Reporting & Analytics, Data Governance & MDM, and Application Integration domains.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadership to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and manage project scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure project continuity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the technical teams and business units to ensure strategic alignment and efficient execution.
• Governance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and provide regular updates on project progress, key milestones, and challenges to leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 8+ years of project management experience with a strong focus on data projects, including data modernization, analytics, and governance initiatives.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with modern data platforms, tools, and technologies (e.g., Databricks, Azure, Power BI, Data Vault, Data Lakes).
• AI Knowledge: Understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI platforms, sufficient to manage and oversee related projects without hands-on development experience.
• Certifications: Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum Master are preferred.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and master data management tools.
• Experience working in Agile environments and managing sprints for data projects.
