About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Data Payroll Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship provides a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in payroll processing and data management whilst working towards the Level 3 Data Essentials apprenticeship qualification.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with accurate processing of payroll data including employee hours wages deductions and bonuses.
  • Maintain and update payroll records ensuring all data is accurate and handled with confidentiality.
  • Support the payroll team with data entry validation and reconciliation tasks.
  • Work alongside HR and finance colleagues to resolve any payroll queries or discrepancies.
  • Use payroll systems and tools to generate and analyse payroll reports.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in payroll data management and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies relevant legislation and data protection standards.
Desirable skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A keen and proactive learner with an interest in payroll and data.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Reliable punctual and motivated to develop new skills.
  • Good communication skills and able to work well as part of a team.

Entry requirements
  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours

Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (1 hour lunch break)
