Overview of the Opportunity

Data Consultant – Ideally Security Cleared. The position requires physical presence at the client’s facility in Cheshire, with a full-time onsite schedule. While the primary site is in Cheshire, there may be opportunities to work at other client locations as needed.

The role seeks an emerging data professional eager to develop expertise in data governance, migration, and quality management within large-scale SAP transformation initiatives. The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with a seasoned data lead and gain hands-on experience in supporting critical phases of complex technology-driven program deliveries. A thorough training pathway will be provided to upskill in core data processes related to enterprise resource planning systems.

The ideal applicant is a UK national holding security clearance, ready to join a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring data readiness and integrity during significant digital transformation projects. Core Responsibilities
  • Participate in the execution of data-related workstreams within SAP-centric change programs.
  • Support the formulation of data migration plans, including activities such as data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Work alongside both business subject matter experts and IT teams to define data standards, cleanse datasets, and ensure accurate data reconciliation.
  • Assist in documenting business rules and transformation mappings for data processing tasks.
  • Coordinate rehearsals like mock data loads, manage defect resolution, and obtain business approval.
  • Monitor and record data issues and potential risks using RAID logs and status dashboards.
  • Contribute to establishing long-term data governance frameworks and operational roles.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients to promote data quality best practices.
Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience supporting data activities within SAP or enterprise resource planning implementations.
  • Familiarity with key SAP data entities such as master data, financial records, and vendor information.
  • Hands-on knowledge of data migration techniques, including ETL processes, data validation, and reconciliation methods.
  • Understanding of data quality principles and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical teams and business users confidently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
  • Experience collaborating with Systems Integrators and internal stakeholders from various departments.
  • Knowledge of SAP migration tools or ETL platform familiarity is advantageous.
  • Exposure to data governance standards, such as DAMA, is a plus.
Desired Qualifications
  • Academic background in data management, IT, or related business disciplines.
  • Certifications in SAP, data management (e.g., CDMP), or governance are beneficial.
