As part of our Data & Analytics Industrial Placement, you’ll develop valuable skills and knowledge in data and analytics, all based within our high-performing Mortgage teams.
Our Mortgage teams’ ambition is to provide the best mortgage service in the UK and to help more people into homes of their own.
You’ll also gain exposure to product pricing, performance, customer research and process improvement.
Our Industrial Placements all provide a valuable opportunity to prepare for our Skills Development Programmes, an ideal next step for when you finish university.

Our Mortgages function brings together 3,000 colleagues, all working towards our mission to provide the best mortgage service in the UK. You’ll spend 12 months within one of our Mortgage Products or Business Services teams. You’ll build skills in trend analysis, reporting, insight generation, and explore the use of AI and machine learning to support decision‑making.
Our Data & Analytics Industrial Placement is a 12‑month programme where you’ll gain valuable skills, knowledge, and experience to support your future career in banking. You’ll focus on developing product knowledge, monitoring performance, and working on projects involving product design, customer research, and process improvement.
You’ll work within the Mortgage Product and Business Services teams, where you’ll build skills in:
We’ll help you develop your analytical skills and commercial judgement, as well as giving you the opportunity to take insight and proposal papers to senior leaders and committees.
You’ll gain operational and administrative skills, and your own individual learning pathway to help you get the most from your time with us. You’ll also attend development workshops and complete a project with other placement colleagues, to support our Social Impact strategy.
