DATA ANALYST (IPRS Health)
This role is to support the analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data to support evidence-based planning and decision making across the IPRS Group business.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining Data Requirements: Work with managers to identify what data is needed and influence the development of processes and systems to collect service data.
- Data Analysis: Analyse quantitative and qualitative data across the business to support evidence-based planning and decision-making. Recognise, extract, and interpret data trends from large and complex datasets, expressing those trends in a business context.
- Forecasting: Assist in producing business volume forecasts and conduct ongoing review and analysis.
- Reporting: Produce regular and ad-hoc reports, briefings and presentations for internal decision-makers and clients, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
- Data Integrity: Ensure completeness, accuracy and robustness of all data reports, and work closely with IT to maintain data integrity and systems.
- Contract and Invoicing Checks: Review client management information and invoicing data monthly to ensure compliance with contracts.
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather data from various sources and preprocess it to remove errors and inconsistencies.
- Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Use descriptive statistics and visualisations to understand data distributions and detect anomalies.
- Data Visualisation: Create dashboards, charts and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI or matplotlib to communicate findings.
- Business Insights: Translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations for different business units.
- Database Management: Aid the Data Analytics Manager and Data Engineer in the design and maintenance of the new Data Warehouse to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Requirements
- Education and Qualifications
- Degree in Mathematics/Statistics or related subject which includes formal training in data analysis.
- Training and/or qualification evidencing writing and investigating SQL reporting scripts.
- Previous data analysis experience.
- Experience and Knowledge
- Experience using SQL.
- IT and data analysis experience, including a good knowledge of Microsoft Software, including Excel.
- Experience of presenting and interpreting data in a usable manner for a range of audiences.
- Experience of strategic thinking in a business environment.

Other Information
Salary: £35,000 per annum subject to experience.
Hours: 40 hours per week Mon‑Fri (flexibility considered).
Position Type: Permanent employed position.
