Qualifications

• Strong communicator with technical, non-technical, and executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with minimum 2:1.
• ISO27001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Cyber Security Essentials.
• One or more certifications: CISM, CISSP, CISA.
• GDPR Practitioner or similar certification.
• Excellent ICT skills, including Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee security policies, procedures, and awareness across the business.

Cybersecurity Operations Manager – Bromsgrove

£40,000–£50,000 | Hybrid after 6 months

The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Manager to join our modern Head Office in Bromsgrove. Working closely with the IT Manager, you’ll lead cybersecurity operations, governance, and risk management—ensuring robust controls, compliance, and secure service delivery across the business. You’ll also play a key role in shaping and delivering our business-wide security strategy, maintaining compliance with recognised standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Security Essentials, and GDPR.

What You’ll Be Doing

Governance & Compliance

• Own and oversee security policies, procedures, and awareness across the business
• Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO27001, Cyber Security Essentials, GDPR, and related standards
• Lead risk identification, assessment, and treatment in line with the business risk framework
• Support internal audits and provide expert governance advice
• Communicate security decisions and risks to IT and senior leadership

Security Operations

• Lead internal and third‑party cybersecurity resources
• Assess and continuously improve the organisation’s security posture
• Oversee InfoSec incident reporting and resolution tracking
• Support Change Management, including change requests, release scheduling, and production coordination
• Help define SLAs and report on performance metrics
• Hybrid working – up to 40% of the time

Essential

• Experience with Cyber Security Essentials
• One or more: CISM / CISSP / CISA
• GDPR Practitioner (or similar)
• Excellent ICT skills, including Microsoft 365

Desirable

• Master’s degree
• ISO27001 implementation or audit experience
• ITIL v4 Foundation or higher
• CRISC certification

Working Hours

Monday–Friday | Up to 37.5 hours per week – (1‑hour lunch daily)
