Our Cyber Security & Networking practice is one of the most advanced in the UK, and we're looking for a Cyber Security Sales Specialist to accelerate growth in this critical area. This is a sales overlay role - you'll work alongside our account teams to position, differentiate, and close opportunities across our cyber security and networking portfolio. You'll be the subject matter expert who turns complex security and connectivity challenges into clear business outcomes, and you'll lead the charge in selling Bytes' solutions and services aligned to strategic vendors.

Bytes Technology Group is one of the UK's fastest-growing IT providers, delivering cutting‑edge solutions through Bytes Software Services and Phoenix Software. Since 1982, we've grown to over 800 employees across 6 locations, with a turnover exceeding £2bn in FY2024. We partner with SMEs, corporates, and public sector organisations to modernise and digitally transform their IT infrastructures. Our culture is built on investment in people – through training, career development, and recognition – creating clear pathways for progression and success.

Responsibilities
  • Drive Cyber Security & Networking sales by supporting account teams in identifying and closing opportunities
  • Deliver solution‑based presentations, proposals, and enablement sessions that showcase Bytes' value
  • Translate customer requirements into secure, scalable solutions using leading vendor technologies
  • Position and onboard customers into Bytes' cyber security and networking propositions, influencing service development
  • Work closely with vendor account teams and align with strategic solution plays and incentives
Qualifications
  • Sales Overlay Expertise: Proven experience supporting sales teams to position and close complex technology solutions
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to identify opportunities, influence buying decisions, and accelerate deal velocity
  • Cyber Security & Networking Knowledge: Hands‑on experience or strong understanding of solutions from vendors such as Microsoft (Sentinel, Defender for Cloud), Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, Cisco, Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Netskope, F5, Akamai, and CyberArk
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) and concepts like Zero Trust, SASE, SIEM/SOAR
  • Familiarity with leading vendors and solutions across security, networking, and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to engage confidently with C‑level stakeholders and translate technical concepts into business value
