Job summary

A leading consulting firm is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant / Security Assurance Co-Ordinator to support a central government client. This role involves producing Secure-By-Design assessments and working within high-threat environments. The ideal candidate will have an active SC or DV clearance and relevant experience, along with knowledge of SIEM tools and cybersecurity frameworks. This position offers a flexible working arrangement with options for hybrid or remote work.

Qualifications

  • Active SC or DV clearance is required.
  • Strong background in Cyber Security Assurance needed.
  • Experience in high-threat government environments essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support government client in Cyber Security assurance.
  • Produce Risk Assessment Papers and Security Management Plans.
  • Model risks and threats effectively.

Skills

Cyber Security Consultant / Security Assurance Co-Ordinator

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client, who is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant / Security Assurance Co-Ordinator for an initial 6 assignments with the option to extend.
Location: London / Milton Keynes / Hybrid / Remote
The ideal candidate will have an active SC or DV clearance and a strong background in Cyber Security Assurance within a high-threat government environment.

Skills and experience
  • Producing Secure-By-Design assessments, such as Risk Assessment Papers, Risk Treatment Plans, Risk Business Cases, and Security Management Plans.
  • Knowledge and experience in security architecture and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, including Splunk, Defender, Sentinel, ELK, and Tenable Threat Modeling System solutions.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework, ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT
  • Experience in risk and threat modeling within a high-threat government environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.
