Job Title: Security Business Analyst - Contract (6 Months)

Location: UK - Remote **MUST BE UK BASED**

Rate: Up to £400 per day (Outside IR35)

Contract Length: 6 months

We're working with a leading organisation undergoing a significant security programme and are looking for an experienced Security Business Analyst to join their team on a 6-month contract. This is a key role focused on strengthening the organisation's network and application security posture, supporting cyber accreditation efforts, and aligning policies and procedures with best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the bridge between technical security teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of security requirements and implications.
  • Analyse and document current state network and application security configurations.
  • Work closely with network teams to review and advise on secure configurations, including firewall rule sets and segmentation.
  • Support identity and access management (IAM) assessments and improvements across key systems.
  • Review, refine and help implement security policies and procedures in line with cyber security standards and regulatory expectations (e.g., ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials).
  • Contribute to preparation for security audits and accreditations.
  • Assist in defining and tracking security requirements across projects and BAU enhancements.

Essential Experience:

  • Strong background in network security: firewalls, secure configuration, segmentation, etc.
  • Proven experience with application security and identity & access management (IAM).
  • Solid understanding of security governance, policies, and cyber frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials).
  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
