Role details

As a Customer Team Member, you'll be part of a friendly team dedicated to helping our customers. You'll provide great service on the tills and the shop floor, while performing a wide range of tasks around the store like restocking shelves and cleaning up spillages. This isn't your standard food retail job, and no two days will be the same. The one constant is your dedication to providing great service to our customers and members. Our stores are a strong part of the local community and we’re proud to give back to them. You’ll be helping customers find what they need, ensuring the store looks good, and introducing them to our membership scheme. You’ll be building relationships and getting to know who shops with us every day. That’s what being part of a community is all about. That’s the Co‑op difference, and you’ll do it all with a smile to brighten theirs.

Culture and impact

Our culture is built on making a positive impact on our communities. The conversations you have with our customers help us highlight local charities and causes, and you may serve people directly affected, which provides a sense of purpose. We’re proud that our business helps create new spaces and facilities in local neighbourhoods and contributes to the health and wellbeing of our communities. Whatever job you do, you can contribute to improving things like community safety and education.
