Confidential, a well-established business in Chesterfield, is recruiting a Customer Support Advisor to join their busy Helpdesk on a temporary basis. The role runs from immediate start through Christmas 2026 to provide additional cover during a peak period.

You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries by phone, email and web chat, solving issues, and updating records to ensure high service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or contact centre environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Customer-focused with a passion for service.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Experience handling enquiries across multiple channels.
• Good IT skills including Outlook/Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Manage customer issues through to successful resolution.
• Provide updates via inbound/outbound calls, email and web chat.
• Handle customer complaints sensitively and escalate where necessary.
• Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems.
• Monitor cases and ensure follow-up actions within agreed timescales.
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and trends.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and SLAs.
