Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals Careers is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join our on-site depot team in Exeter. You will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering a best-in-class service while using product knowledge to upsell and support their needs.

You will handle inquiries via face-to-face, phone, email, and website requests, managing orders from enquiry to post-hire feedback. We offer a rewarding benefits package as part of a leading UK equipment rental provider.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Customer Service role, handling in-bound order/sales enquiries and completing transactions.
• Experience in hire or construction industry would be advantageous.
• Experience developing and utilising product knowledge to support selling and service delivery.
• Excellent communication, including negotiating and influencing, with internal and external customers.
• Comfortable using own judgment and initiative per company policies and pricing structures.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach and willingness to help.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Strong MS Office skills and a willingness to learn new IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers at the depot, in person or by phone/email.
• Manage an order from enquiry to post-hire feedback, owning the customer journey.
• Identify upselling opportunities using product knowledge to maximise revenue.
• Build relationships with regular customers to ensure repeat business.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver best-in-class service.
