Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a Customer Service Advisor in Birmingham to join a fast-paced, hands-on operations team. You will welcome customers at the depot and handle enquiries across face-to-face, phone, email and web channels, owning the end-to-end journey from enquiry to post-hire feedback.

You will use product knowledge to maximize upselling opportunities while delivering a best-in-class service and building lasting relationships with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Customer Service role, especially inbound order/sales enquiries.
• Industry experience in hire or construction would help.
• Ability to develop and use product knowledge.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong judgment and initiative within company policies.
• Collaborative team member with adaptability in fast-paced operations.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and process enhancement.
• Proficient with MS Office and willingness to learn new IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers visiting the depot.
• Handle inquiries face to face, on the telephone, via email and website requests.
• Manage orders from enquiry to post-hire feedback.
• Coordinate repairs, equipment hires and service schedules.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Deliver best-in-class service and upsell where appropriate.
