Booker Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Duty Manager to lead a fast-paced store operations team. Based in Workington, you will have direct exposure to our vibrant customer base and play a key role in the store's management.

You will manage a team of 40+ colleagues, rotate into Duty Manager duties, and ensure adherence to legal standards and company procedures. A strong focus on cash handling, payroll accuracy, and customer service is essential.

Formación

• Experience supervising or managing a team.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Practical experience in the retail trade.
• Ability to train staff in cash handling.
• Experience maintaining payroll records.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a team of 40+ colleagues.
• Occasionally act as Duty Manager within the week.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and procedures.
• Train staff in cash handling to minimise losses.
• Control debt and recover overdue payments.
• Maintain payroll records accurately and on time.
• Engage with customers to resolve issues and improve service.
• Liaise with department Supervisors to monitor delivery orders.
• Lead reception and checkout teams with a customer-focused approach.
• Provide exceptional, flexible leadership to the team.
