Booker Group is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee a 40+ strong team at Booker Wholesale, actively participating in store management and stepping in as Duty Manager several times weekly to drive service and operations. You will be part of a fast-paced team focused on delivering excellent customer service in a wholesale setting.

The role emphasizes leadership, cash handling, payroll records, and collaboration with other supervisors to manage orders and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising large teams in a retail or wholesale environment.
• Strong customer service ethos with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Practical experience with cash handling, payroll records and debt recovery.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of 40+ colleagues on a fast-moving retail floor.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and company procedures at all times.
• Train staff in cash handling to minimise losses and improve accuracy.
• Control debt and recover overdue or failed payments from customers.
• Maintain accurate and timely payroll records.
• Engage with customers to resolve issues and improve satisfaction.
• Liaise with department Supervisors to monitor delivery orders.
• Lead reception and checkout teams to deliver consistent service.
