A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Customer Service Advisor in Birmingham. This role involves providing support through phone, email, and social media during a busy season. Key qualifications include effective communication and problem-solving skills. The temporary contract offers full-time hours. Training is provided to ensure success from the start.
We're Hiring! Customer Service Advisors
Based in Birmingham
Hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
£12.21 per hour
Interviews to be held W/C 11th August 2025
Temporary ongoing contract (Approx. 8-9 Weeks)
Start Date: Monday 18th August 2025

? What's the Role All About?
As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll be the friendly voice and helpful hand supporting our Midlands customer base during the busy back-to-school season. You'll be handling inbound calls, emails, and social media messages - answering questions, resolving issues, and making sure every customer feels valued and supported.

? What You'll Be Doing
Chatting with customers via phone, email, and social media - offering top-notch support and solutions.
Resolving queries and complaints with empathy, speed, and professionalism.
Promoting services and spotting opportunities to up-sell (in a helpful, non-pushy way!).
Using systems to track journeys, process refunds, and award compensation where needed.
Keeping up to date with products and services so you can be a true expert.
Escalating serious issues and helping us spot patterns to improve service.
Supporting displaced customers and helping them get back on track.
? What We're Looking For
A confident communicator with a warm, professional telephone manner.
Someone who stays calm under pressure and can handle tricky situations with grace.
Some previous experience in customer service, contact centres, or telephony roles.
Computer literate and comfortable multitasking across different systems.
A proactive problem-solver with a "can-do" attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and ready to represent the brand with pride.
