Job summary

Mitie is recruiting for a Security Officer to support M&S stores in the UK. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, welcoming environment while delivering exceptional customer service as part of a premium retail team.

You will participate in industry-leading training and receive ongoing development, including company-backed SIA licence renewal, to uphold the high standards expected by one of the UK’s trusted brands.

• Candidate must have 5 years trackable working history in UK.

Responsibilities

• This is a customer-facing role in a premium retail environment where safety, professionalism and service must work together seamlessly.
• You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while also contributing positively to the customer journey and wider store experience.
• Creating a visible, welcoming and reassuring presence within store
• Supporting customers and colleagues professionally and confidently
• Responding appropriately to incidents, theft and security concerns
• Helping de-escalate challenging situations calmly and respectfully
• Working collaboratively with store teams as part of the wider M&S environment
• Delivering high standards of professionalism, communication and customer service at all times
