Pay and hours

Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you prefer fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities available and would love to hear from you.

The availability windows indicate the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you will have 3 weeks notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility; if your available times closely match but do not exactly match the advertised times, we would still love to hear from you.

You will be responsible for

Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by:

• Ensuring the van and trays are clean, tidy, and organised
• Leaving the back yard clean and rubbish-free; picking up litter as needed
• Washing trays as part of the tray wash process
• Loading the van as required and checking roadworthiness
• Talking to customers about changes to orders, substitutions, and offering refunds as needed
• Taking care of products/deliveries and handling substitutions without overcharging
• Delivering during the customer’s time slot
• Calling the customer before arriving if early
• Calling the store/centre if running 30 minutes or more late
