A prominent security firm in the UK is seeking compassionate individuals to support detainees in custody suites. The role involves assisting with care, completing forensic samples, and collaborating with other agencies for rehabilitation. Flexibility to work across the region is essential. A strong candidate will possess empathy, IT skills, and a valid driving licence. This full-time position offers a salary of £27,518.40 with structured shift patterns and opportunities for growth.
Are you interested in working within the criminal justice system in a core role supporting the police? Do you have the empathy to work with vulnerable people? We are looking for people who want to make a difference working alongside the Police in custody suites, caring for detainees, supporting them during time spent in custody, completing forensic samples, and working with other agencies to support detainee rehabilitation. Previous experience in police/security/armed forces would be beneficial, but we will train you in full on an Initial Training Course even without previous experience. You will be expected to use a computer and various programs competently. The role requires flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.
The custody suites can be energetic places to work, with no two shifts the same. Training includes a 3-week initial training course (ITC) Monday to Friday 8am–5pm on full pay, followed by continued development and opportunities for growth within the role.
