Curriculum Leader – Engineering (Any Specialism Considered)

Location: Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Institute of Technology (IoT) in Stafford and NSCG Stafford Campus
Faculty: Skills and Technology
Full-time 37 hours per week
Holiday: 52 days per year (inclusive of bank holidays and Christmas closure)

Package

Salary: £36,846 – £47,133 (year 1)
Employer Pension Contributions up to £13,480 pro‑rata (Teachers' Pension Scheme)
Golden Hello Payment up to £5,000 OR DfE bursary up to £6,000 (if in first 5 years of teaching – subject to terms & conditions)

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement and deliver high‑quality engineering programmes predominantly at Levels 4/5 to support growth in Higher Education student numbers.
  • Support the Vice Principal – Institute of Technology and the Curriculum Manager on the journey to becoming the innovative technical education provider of choice for the region.
  • Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring of student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of internal and external exams, and developing flexible and innovative learning materials.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in one or more engineering disciplines and relevant industrial experience within the sector.
  • Electrical, Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics experience desirable.
  • Technically and occupationally competent in their field of engineering with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Teaching qualifications from the FE/HE sector.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
