CT Radiographer

Band 6 (£38,682 - £46,580) – 12 Month Maternity Leave Cover

We are recruiting for a CT Radiographer who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards “great people, great place”.

This is a truly exciting time to join our team as we work in the newly developed £10m Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) that delivers first‑class diagnostic care to our community. The new centre has created the ability to deliver joined up diagnostic care, and with increased capacity this ensures our patients have faster access to treatment, earlier diagnosis, and improved outcomes. By becoming part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in innovative ways and play a central role in how we improve patient pathways, delivering the right test, at the right time, in the right place.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct a wide range of CT scans for a variety of patient types as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi‑professional team, meeting professional, departmental and legal standards.
  • Participate in the out‑of‑hours on‑call rota, involving lone working in specific specialties and at particular times.
  • Manage patients who may be unconscious, uncooperative, incapacitated, incompetent, disorientated, or have physical and mental disabilities, including those exhibiting anti‑social behaviour and prisoners.
  • Provide empathy and emotional support to patients, relatives, the bereaved, terminally ill, injured, traumatised patients, or those affected by substance use/abuse.
