We are seeking a dedicated CSR Technician to join our team on a 6‑month fixed term contract. The role focuses on attending to passenger‑facing Customer Service Regime (CSR) defects on class 745 and class 755 rolling stock, ensuring that passenger‑facing areas remain safe, functional and comfortable. Additional duties include applying de‑icing treatment to the units on a regular basis and some component assembly.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair CSR‑related defects across class 745 and 755 rolling stock.
  • Carry out corrective work on:
    • Seats and seat covers
    • Window films
    • Toilet area aspects
    • Flooring
    • Plugs and USB sockets
    • Tables
    • Luggage racks
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards, company procedures and industry regulations.
  • Record and report completed tasks, defects and maintenance activities accurately.
Essential Qualifications
  • Electrical and mechanical experience required (further training will be provided)
  • Competence with hand tools and practical repair techniques
  • Strong safety‑awareness and commitment to safe working practices
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage workload under time constraints
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic IT skills for reporting, documentation, and use of maintenance systems
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience in rolling stock maintenance, facilities management, or similar technical roles
  • Familiarity with passenger‑facing equipment and fittings (seats, flooring, tables, electrical interfaces, etc.)
  • Willingness to undertake further training
  • Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across engineering and operations functions
