Job summary

A data centre services company in Uxbridge is looking for a Critical Shift Engineer to join their team. This role involves fault finding and operating complex mechanical and electrical systems within a data centre environment, providing a unique opportunity to work with a market-leading benefits package. The candidate must have experience with various M&E systems, including transformers and cooling systems, and hold at least a City and Guilds Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering. Qualifications

  • Experience with transformers, LV systems, generators, UPS, and electrical distribution.
  • Knowledge of air conditioning and fire suppression systems.

  • Operate and resolve faults in complex M&E systems.
  • Manage cooling systems including chillers and pumps.
  • Write switching schedules for LV and HV systems.

Times: 7 am to 7 pm / 7 pm to 7 am

GH Engage are seeking a Critical Shift Engineer for an engineering maintenance position within a data centre in Hayes, West London.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrable experience in operating and fault finding complex and integrated M&E systems including: Transformers, LV, Generators, UPS, Electrical distribution, BMS, Air Conditioning, Fire suppression systems.
  • Cooling Systems (Chillers, CRAC / CRAH units, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Piping)
  • Building Management Systems (BMS) for monitoring and control of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
  • LV and HV switching; writing switching schedules, performing shutdowns.
  • Creating and developing SOP and EOP documentation and other related / similar processes.
