Job summary

Job description
Critical Care Technician

The closing date is 17 December 2025

An exciting new opportunity has been created within the Department of Critical Care requiring the expert skill and knowledge of a highly experienced Critical Care Technician. The successful candidate will have a key role in developing and expanding the role in the future. You will be working in an extremely busy 22-bedded Critical Care Unit alongside a friendly and highly motivated multi‑disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will be assisting the anaesthetic team with procedures such as intubations and line insertions. You will also have the responsibility for teaching both nursing and junior medical staff. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that equipment stock levels are maintained and for ensuring the maintenance of equipment.
