What’s expected of you as a Crime Solicitor

• Crime Duty Accreditation is preferred but not essential (those without it must be willing to obtain it)
• Represent clients at police stations and manage a wide range of criminal defence cases
• Conduct advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court, including summary trials (Crown Court work available if Higher Rights are held)
• Demonstrate strong advocacy, communication, and case management skills
• Be committed to delivering high‑quality, publicly funded legal representation
