Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Experience in credit control or purchase ledger is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Must demonstrate high accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Handle purchase to pay activities.
  • Manage order to cash processes.
  • Provide external reporting to Companies House and HMRC.
  • Assist with year-end and other statutory audits.
  • Perform general accounting enquiries.
  • Cover for Credit Management & Accounting Manager.
  • Execute departmental tasks and general administration.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties required.

Job description

Our client, who are global market leaders in their field, are looking for a Credit / Cash Management Assistant to join their friendly team in Ross-on-Wye (Herefordshire) on a part-time, permanent basis.

This role is set as 30h per week, consisting of 4 x 7.5h shifts between Monday‑Friday.

This is a varied role, reporting to the Credit Management and Accounting Manager, and will be responsible for a range of accounting and credit management activities, including purchase‑to‑pay and order‑to‑cash processes, financial reporting, audit support, and general departmental administration.

General Responsibilities
  • Purchase to pay corresponding activities
  • Order to cash corresponding activities
  • External reporting to Companies House and HMRC
  • Financial accounting general enquiries
  • Audit assistance: year‑end, interim and statutory audit, HMRC government audits and other audit requirements
  • Year​ End reporting and other ad‑hoc reporting requirements
  • Credit Management & Accounting Manager cover
  • Departmental tasks and general administration
  • Travel Coordinator
  • Any other ad‑hoc duties as required
Key Attributes
  • SAP knowledge would be ideal
  • Experience in credit control or purchase ledger would be advantageous (non‑essential)
  • High accuracy and attention to detail

Hours: 30h pw (4 x 7.5h shifts between Monday and Friday - your choice of which days), flexible on start/finish times + 50/50 hybrid working option following successful completion of 6‑month probation period.

Salary: £23,875 - 28,750 pro‑rate (£19,100 - £23,000 actual pay for part‑time) + excellent benefits package including:

Please note: Whilst this role can offer hybrid work, it is not able to offer this role as fully remote, therefore candidates will be required to work all hours in‑office for the entire duration of the 6 month training period, and for at least 50% of their working hours thereafter. With this in mind it is advisable that you check Ross‑on‑Wye is within a reasonable commute for you in order to apply.
