Music Experience Cover Supervisor - Northampton (Secondary Schools)

Location: Northampton

Salary: £110 - £135.50 per day (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible Supply

Start Date: September 2025 or sooner

Link3 Recruitment are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors with a passion and experience for Music, looking to work within Secondary schools across Northampton - inspiring students and ensuring high-quality learning in the absence of regular teaching staff.

About the Role
  • As a Cover Supervisor with a background in music, you will:
  • Deliver pre-set lessons to secondary school pupils in the absence of the class teacher
  • Maintain a focused and engaging classroom environment
  • Use your music experience to bring creative energy to the classroom, even outside of music lessons
  • Support behaviour management and ensure school policies are followed
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in music (e.g. teaching, tutoring, performing, leading workshops)
  • Confident classroom presence and excellent communication skills
  • A desire to work with young people and make a positive impact
  • Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential - full training provided
  • Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to adapt to different school environments
