Prospero Teaching are supporting a welcoming and well-organised secondary school in the Warrington area who are looking to appoint a full-time Cover Supervisor from January. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to gain hands-on classroom experience. The role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the class teacher. You will maintain a positive learning environment, ensure work is completed to a high standard and support pupils with staying focused and engaged. The school are looking for someone confident, proactive and able to build strong relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 using pre-prepared lesson plans
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils to stay on task, motivated and engaged
• Providing brief feedback to teaching staff after lessons
• Promoting a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environmentBuilding rapport with pupils and contributing to the wider school community
