Overview

Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Buckingham and Surrounding Areas
Contract Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £100 - £150 per day

Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about education? Schools across Buckingham and the surrounding areas are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to step into the classroom and support students across Key Stages 3 to 5. Whether you're aiming to gain experience before starting teacher training or already have classroom know-how, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and focused learning environment

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain student engagement

  • Assist students with tasks and answer questions when needed

  • Promote positive behaviour and manage classroom conduct according to school policies

  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress, where necessary

Qualifications
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting (preferred, not essential)

  • QTS is not required, though classroom experience is desirable

  • Confident communicator with strong classroom presence

  • Flexible and comfortable working across different year groups and subjects

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)

  • Able to provide a minimum of two years' employment references
