Cover Supervisor

Location: Croydon

The Role: Cover Supervisor - Secondary School - Croydon

Cover Supervisors are responsible for managing groups of around 30 students independently, delivering set work to a high standard, and answering student questions related to the tasks.

You will be expected to:

1. Provide cover for registration.
2. Deliver lessons with limited preparation time, sometimes at short notice, to a high standard.
3. Create a positive learning environment, adhering to the school's behaviour policies and standards.
4. Support students in building self-esteem through positive interactions, praise, and encouragement.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of SEN support plans.

Person Specification: Cover Supervisor - Secondary School - Croydon

Required skills and experience include:

1. Holding a degree or aspiring to be a teacher.
2. Interest in and knowledge of autism.
3. Experience managing distress behaviors.
4. Ability to solve problems quickly and stay calm.
