Overview

GR Employment Ltd is looking for a Courier Driver on behalf of one of our clients in Northampton.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers. This role is essential in upholding the company’s values and ethos, delivering service with speed, passion, and a can-do attitude. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday – 08:00 start

This is a temporary position providing relief cover for couriers. However, for the right candidate, this role could lead to a permanent placement.

Hourly rate £14.25 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• As a courier driver, you will be measured upon customer satisfaction and completed time definite deliveries and collections.
• As a frontline representative for the company, you will be required to complete all tasks in a customer focused manner.
• You will be required to demonstrate excellent planning and organization skills to prioritise work in order to meet customer’s requirements.
• You will work on an assigned geographical route, however, may be asked to change your route from time to time to meet business needs.
• Scanning and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met, excellent planning and organizational skills and the ability to make good decisions and work under pressure.

Job Qualifications

• Full UK driving license
• Experience in a multi drop courier role
• Security Training will be given when required
• For insurance purposes, you must be at least 21 years old and have no more than 9 penalty points on your driving licence within the last 3 years
