Overview

Stafforce are Recruiting for Counterbalance Forklift Divers to work as part of our Ports Team Unloading/Loading Vessels for our prestigious client who are a National Port Operator based in Kings Lynn. The role involves working Monday to Friday and could involve additional weekend working at times. You will need to be flexible regarding shift start times as this is a tidal port and the pay rate includes a shift premium.

The role is varied as the port currently handles timber, aggregates, salt, grain & fertiliser cargos. You will primarily drive an FLT but could also be asked to work as a Slinger Banksman, Front End Loader Driver when required and additional training will be provided where required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Counterbalance Forklift as the primary duty.
• Potentially work as a Slinger/Banksman or Front End Loader Driver when required; full training provided where needed.
• Attend required training and comply with safety and operational standards.
• Work across port operations and bagging operations as needed.
• Adhere to shift patterns up to 12 hours, including day and night availability.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A flexible and reliable approach to work; shifts can be up to 12 hours, with day and night availability required.
• A valid Forklift Licence with a minimum of 12 months proven experience (in-house certificates cannot be accepted).
• A Slinger/Banksman certificate is preferred but not essential; full training can be provided.
• Compulsory drug and alcohol testing; operatives must be able to pass screening prior to assignment and on a random basis.
• Safety Critical Medical assessment provided as part of recruitment to ensure fitness for work.
• Attending training courses if not already attained: CHIPS (Cargo Handling in Ports) and Ammonium Nitrate Awareness.
• Ideally some experience in cargo handling, logistics, or heavy industry (not essential; full training provided in other areas).
• Ability to work as part of a team in a physically demanding environment and a commitment to working safely.
