Job description

Overview

This exciting role provides an opportunity to develop as a leader responsible for the Corporate Finance functions including Capital accounting, Collection Fund, Financial Systems, Treasury Management, Accounts Payable, Insurance and Balance Sheet Management. In addition, you are the lead officer for the production of the annual Statement of Accounts ensuring compliance with recommended practice, accounting policies and ensuring the statutory deadline is met.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Corporate Finance functions including Capital accounting, Collection Fund, Financial Systems, Treasury Management, Accounts Payable, Insurance and Balance Sheet Management.
• Act as the lead officer for the production of the annual Statement of Accounts, ensuring compliance with recommended practice and accounting policies and meeting statutory deadlines.
• Work with the recently implemented OneFinance system to develop and enhance financial insight across the council, in collaboration with the Finance Business Partner Team Leader.

Benefits and Terms

Band 13 - £51,356 to £54,495 per annum

Working pattern: Full time 37hrs per week (Part time would also be considered)

Location: Based at the Guildhall, Gainsborough (with provision to work from home)

Leave and Pension: 29 days annual leave, rising to 34 after 5 years' service, flexi time and membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
