Job description

We have a full-time vacancy for an experienced 2-7 years PQE UK Solicitor to join our clients highly regarded Commercial and Corporate Finance Business team. This has the potential to be an Associate position, depending upon the experience of the successful candidate. The position is based in Essex and, subject to work commitments, there will be the opportunity for some working from home, if desired, in line with the Firm’s working from home guidelines (which allows up to 3 days a week)

You will be part of our multidisciplinary Business Team and demonstrate an aptitude for corporate and commercial work. The role will be focused on the following:

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have proven capability in handling a busy caseload, whilst all the while delivering excellent customer service.

You will have the ability to deliver succinct high‑quality advice, excellent client and team communication skills, drafting and negotiation skills and a desire to play a key role in the future development of the firm and the team.

You will need to use your own initiative and provide good succinct commercial advice to clients. You will be computer literate, able to use a case management system and be able to type.

The role will involve marketing and business development and therefore the ideal candidate must be flexible enough to work outside normal office hours and be comfortable attending a range of marketing events and progressing a variety of business development initiatives.

Ideally you will have experience in or an interest in developing a specialism within the Corporate Commercial arena. The team currently advises a wide range of charities, clubs and not for profit organisations, has a strong presence in the health care sector and is developing a technology, media and IT offering. An interest in one of these sectors or another would be advantageous, and the Firm has a record of investing time and resource into helping people develop their own particular niche
