Corporate Associate - 2-4 PQE

Legal 500 City law firm | London | £90,000 - £95,000

A corporate associate is offered an outstanding opportunity to join an industry leading corporate team at this well‑regarded practice, in London.

The firm, which ranks as one of the leading firms in London, with a particular focus on Corporate as their core practice in London, are looking to expand their Corporate offering with the addition of a mid‑level associate, from two years' post‑qualification experience.

The corporate team in London is highly established, ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers for their mid‑market M&A deals advisory expertise, working directly with the Partners on high‑value and complex Corporate matters across a range of matters, including transactional mergers and acquisitions, acting for buyers and sellers on share and assets and sales/purchases.

In terms of the work which the team undertakes, this predominantly consists of:

Venture Capital work, in conjunction with a number of leading Private Equity houses, as well as private individuals, and family offices including a high proportion of cross‑border deals in the financial services space. Experience with cross‑border and international clients is a pre‑requisite, due to the flow of off‑shore work coming into the firm.

You will be leading on a range of mid‑sized transactions, working in close proximity with various Partners, particularly on larger transactions, where you will be handling a range of work, including Venture Capital, Joint Ventures, and M&A.

The salary bracket for the roles starts at £90k, ranging up to £95k for those with more experience, in addition to a relatively industry standard bonus scheme, activated for hitting the hours target of 1200.

Qualifications

• A strong academic background
• Training and post‑qualified corporate experience gained with a reputable national or international practice or city‑firm
• Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in business development and client relationship management

With regards to hybrid working, my client operates a 60% office attendance policy, which is discretionary, but considered the norm.
