Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and manage your caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Open, manage, and close residential conveyancing files.
  • Liaise directly with clients providing updates and responding to queries.
  • Draft and review contracts, transfer deeds, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure all conveyancing activities adhere to Scots Law and regulations.
  • Conduct property searches and prepare Land Registry forms.
  • Communicate with solicitors, estate agents, and other third parties.
  • Use conveyancing software and Microsoft Office for record-keeping.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • File Management: Open, manage, and close residential conveyancing files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant
  • Client Communication: Liaise directly with clients, providing updates and responding to queries throughout the transaction
  • Document Preparation: Draft and review contracts, transfer deeds, missives, and other legal documents
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure all conveyancing activities adhere to Scots Law and regulatory requirements
  • Searches & Registrations: Conduct property searches, prepare Land Registry forms, and handle post-completion tasks including registration of deeds
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate with solicitors, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other third parties
  • Case Management Systems: Use conveyancing software and Microsoft Office to maintain accurate records and correspondence
