Conveyancing Paralegal

Are you ready to kickstart your legal career in a supportive and dynamic environment? We’re seeking an enthusiastic and driven Conveyancing Paralegal to join our client’s thriving team in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop their expertise in residential property law while making a real difference to clients during one of the most important transactions of their lives.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside an experienced team leader across a diverse caseload of sale, purchase, transfer of equity, and remortgage transactions.
  • Maintain direct client contact from day one, building relationships and guiding clients through their property journey with professionalism and care.
  • Be actively involved in every stage of the conveyancing process, from initial checks through to completion.
  • Conduct anti-money laundering and conflict checks to ensure compliance.
  • Review source of funds and source of wealth documentation.
  • Draft and check sales contracts and negotiate terms with other conveyancers.
  • Manage all financial aspects of transactions with precision.
  • Exchange contracts and progress matters to completion.
  • Handle leasehold transactions, including landlord consents.
  • Process mortgage instructions and prepare transfer and mortgage deeds.
  • Raise and respond to enquiries with clarity and professionalism.
  • Prepare comprehensive search reports.
  • Liaise with the Land Registry and other key parties.
Qualifications
  • Essential qualities:
    • Previous experience of working within a Law Firm
    • Exceptional attention to detail – accuracy is everything in conveyancing
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels
    • A positive, can-do attitude with genuine enthusiasm for property law
    • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
    • The confidence to work independently while knowing when to ask for support
    • The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • A commitment to delivering outstanding client service
