Control Systems Engineer – The Role:

• Design and specify control systems, safety solutions, and electrical components for advanced industrial automation
• Develop electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
• Plan control system architecture and write technical specs & process flow diagrams
• Collaborate closely with Design & Applications Engineers to ensure on–time, high–quality project delivery
• Program PLC and industrial control systems (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
• Conduct electrical testing on newly built machines
• Commission systems at client sites in the UK and abroad (minimal travel less than 5%)
• Provide ongoing support and enhancements for installed control systems

Control Systems Engineer – The Person:

• 3+ years experience in PLC programming and electrical panel design
• Strong grasp of machine safety standards and electrical regulations
• Solid understanding of industrial communications (Profinet/Profibus, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, OPC, IO–Link, etc.)
• A degree (2:1 or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Interest or experience in robotics is a big plus

This is an office–based role easily commutable from within and around Reading, Didcot, Swindon and Oxford. Site work is required but will involve less than c5% of tie away from home.
