Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer
County Council
Hybrid working - 2 days per week office attendance
Starting salary: £59,868

Sellick Partnership are delighted to be working with a well‑respected County Council in the South East to seek a Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities of the Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer
  • Provide quality proactive legal advice on issues including, but not limited to, Public Contract Regulations matters, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC’s and JCT construction contracts, and general contract queries
  • Conduct a full, varied and demanding caseload
  • Senior Lawyers play an active role in the management of the team, and you will be expected to deputise for the Principal Solicitor alongside actively contributing to the future delivery of first‑class legal services

Essential skills and abilities
  • Negotiating and drafting experience such as construction contracts, service agreements, facilities management services
  • Providing solutions‑focused and enabling advice on a range of matters and an ability to learn quickly about subjects in which you may not have had prior experience
  • Effective team working, including managing competing priorities to achieve client/statutory deadlines
