Role

Contracts Officer / Manager

Working as part of our clients Legal Team, as Contracts Officer / Manager you will support on predominantly customer facing contracts related to the sale of high-tech products and solutions to customers in sectors such as aerospace, maritime, defence and government.

As Contracts Officer / Manager, you will have a good degree of autonomy to draft, negotiation and manage contracts, to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, and to monitor contract-related matters such as correspondence, contract-completion, extension or renewals, contract-flowdown, and contract issues that require escalation and/or resolution.

In addition to your day-to-day contractual duties, you will also have involvement in assessing contract risk as it relates to tenders. You will liaise with the bid team and other internal stakeholders to determine the risk profile, with the aim of lowering the same.

About you

You should have at least 3 years hands-on experience of commercial and contractual work, ideally with exposure to a range of customer and supplier contracts terms and conditions.

You should be confident reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contract terms, and advising on contractual risk.

Applicants should possess a law degree and/or further legal qualification, and my client is open to considering experienced Contracts Officers/Managers or legally trained Commercial Paralegals, Legal Executives or similar.

Our client is offering a salary of up to £50,000, and a package that includes an employer pension contribution of up to 6%, paid overtime, 26 days annual leave + bank holidays, and a salary sacrifice car scheme.

Location

The company operates a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

The North Wales office is commutable from Llandudno, Rhyl, Wrexham and NE Wales, Chester, Warington and West Cheshire, Birkenhead and Wirral, and other surrounding areas.
