A leading property maintenance company is seeking a Contracts Manager specializing in passive fire protection to oversee works in a social housing setting. The role involves managing site teams, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations, and maintaining high quality standards. Contracts Manager (Passive fire protection)
Location: Birmingham office, covering West Midlands, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and occasionally around Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire. Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours.

With responsibility for successfully leading a small team of Site Managers delivering Passive fire protection works including fire door installs and maintenance, fire stopping, loft compartmentation in a communal Social Housing setting – Assisted living, care homes, flats. Ensuring contracts are completed to programme, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to Health & Safety of their operation team, the client, or the public. The successful candidate will be client facing and have extensive knowledge of Passive fire protection planned Works within a Social Housing environment including working at FIRAS accredited standard.
Along with utilising your Contracts Management skills, you’ll also be looking for ways to add real social value to the communities and customers you work with. Supported by your peers, team, and management to solve problems and trusted to make decisions to grow and develop relationships and revenue.

As an experienced Contracts Manager you will have experience of working within a planned and retrofit works contract including both internal and external works, within a social housing environment. Ideally you will hold SMSTS, First Aid or associated NVQ, but if this has expired, we will support you to renew; it’s the knowledge and skills that goes with the qualification that’s essential to us. IFE Level 2 qualified preferred but not essential along with experience of working to FIRAS standards. Our preferred candidate will be experienced, knowledgeable, be a self‑starter who is focused on delivery and able to communicate well with the team to ensure everyday runs smoothly. You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence to travel to sites daily. The role will require a DBS check.
