The role involves day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining quality. Contracts Manager - Civil Engineering Site Based Across Greater Manchester GBP80,000 - GBP85,000 + Bonus + Car or Allowance + Training + Progression This is a great opportunity to join a long-established contractor operating across civil engineering, demolition, and enabling works. The business has grown significantly over the last decade and continues to expand, creating genuine long-term opportunities for experienced Contracts Managers. Are you a Contracts Manager who can demonstrate strong experience managing a vairety of civils projects are looking for a new opportunity? Do you want to work for a contractor who self-delivers their projects, empowers their staff and offers long-term progression? This established yet growing contractor specialise in delivering civil engineering and demolition projects across the Greater Manchester area. They deliver projects across residential, commercial, civil engineering, and energy sectors, including large-scale earthworks, site remediation, soil stabilisation, and associated civil works. Where projects are valued up to GBP10 million and are all delivered in-house. As they are currently in a strong period of growth which is why they are looking to add to their team with this great opportunity.You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of projects which tend to be between 3 to 6 depending on size of the projects, where you'll be managing the Project Managers on those sites and report directly to the board. You'll be ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and profitably. This includes managing labour, materials, and subcontractors, monitoring progress against programme, and maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience managing earthworks, site remediation and wider civils projects, ideally within a self-delivering contractor environment, and be confident running site-based operations independently. This is a business that actively promotes from within, with clear progression opportunities from Contracts Manager to Director, framework roles, or senior leadership positions in other teams as the company continues to grow.
