Responsibilities
  • Maintain clear, timely communication internally and externally to ensure deliveries and loading times are met.
  • Address operational issues promptly and ensure all updates are accurately recorded in the system.
  • Provide correct references and booking information to operations departments and update the SWIFT system on time.
  • Carry out daily operational tasks while understanding and managing their financial impact.
  • Confirm all transits have arrived as planned; communicate anomalies to mitigate delays and manage non-shipments appropriately.
  • Proactively organize operational requirements, reserving space with suppliers to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Keep customer services fully updated, offering alternatives when bookings cannot meet transit commitments and obtaining approval for additional costs.
  • Highlight volume fluctuations in advance so they can be managed effectively.
  • Ensure timely communication regarding customs events and maintain on-time delivery performance.
  • Report issues such as contamination or spillage immediately and record them in the SWIFT system.
  • Monitor and balance stock levels to avoid storage costs, ensuring empty units are handled effectively.
  • Complete prior-day administrative tasks (including MT buffer stocks and dispatching) by midday.
  • Monitor units stored on high-cost quays and find cost-effective solutions.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Awareness of customs legislation and regulations.
  • Ideal candidate will have 1 years experience in the same or similar field.
