The Role

As a Consulting Actuary, you’ll lead client engagements and deliver strategic actuarial advice to trustees and sponsors of defined benefit pension schemes. This is a chance to make an impact in a dynamic, fast‑growing practice. The role is hybrid and can be based at any Aptia UK office.

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver tailored advice on scheme funding, accounting disclosures, de‑risking, and governance.
• Build long‑term relationships with trustees and corporate sponsors.
• Identify opportunities to create wider consulting and administration solutions.
• Support new business development and contribute to proposals and pitches.
• Mentor junior actuarial staff and help shape our consulting capabilities.

What we’re looking for

• FIA qualification (Scheme Actuary certificate preferred).
• Significant experience in pensions consulting across diverse schemes.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver value‑added solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
