NHS CONSULTANT RESPIRATORY PHYSICIAN VACANCY


We've been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant Respiratory Physician on either a Substantive or a 12-24 month NHS Fixed Term basis.

Our client achieved “Outstanding” in their 2016 Care Quality Commission inspection and an overall “Good” rating across the rest of the hospital. This is a regional center of excellence for several key specialties including Obesity Research, Neurophysiology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology and Cancer Services. The Trust has a perfect location which offers both London and Midlands within easy reach, access to major motorways and an international airport within immediate proximity.

The Department of Respiratory Medicine provides a wide range of services including Pulmonary Physiology, Tuberculosis, Lung Cancer, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pleural, Full Sleep Medicine and Non-Invasive Ventilation. The appointee will join the eight existing consultants in providing a comprehensive respiratory medicine service and participate in a 1:10 on-call for Respiratory Medicine HDU/non-invasive cover.

The appointee will join a well-established Respiratory Directorate as part of a service development plan, including the Respiratory Consultant led Respiratory Medicine specialty “front door” in-reach service. The successful candidate will compliment the consultant capacity to enable an effective and seamless respiratory service in both in-patient and out-patient settings.
