We are seeking an experienced part‑time/ any 3 days per week Consultant Psychiatrist who will work at Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes and provide senior medical cover on Lower West Ward, our 12 bedded low secure and deaf mental health ward for women.
The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and will oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients as required and will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the ward and ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines.

We are seeking an experiencedpart‑time/ any 3 days per weekConsultant Psychiatrist who will work at Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes and provide senior medical cover on Lower West Ward, our 13 bedded low secure ward for women.
This role is due to start 31st March 2026 (but can be negoiated if required)

Lower West Ward is a 12 bedded low secure ward for women. The service offers individualised assessment, care and treatment of a wide range of mental disorders, alongside complex communication needs and supports both hearing and Deaf women.
In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life‑changing treatment fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first‑class multidisciplinary team including qualified nurses, psychologist and occupational therapist.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
