A leading healthcare organization in Greater London is seeking an experienced consultant for its Glaucoma Ophthalmology service. The role involves delivering high-quality eye care, participating in clinical trials, and performing advanced glaucoma surgeries. The consultant will manage complex cases and support the development of a virtual glaucoma service. Experience in training allied healthcare professionals is required. A Vacancy at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. This substantive consultant post will support the service needs of the Glaucoma Ophthalmology service. This will ensure the provision of a high-quality service, with the development and maintenance of standards through clinical audit, evidence-based research and appraisal. The post is based at North Middlesex University Hospital. The team comprises 1 Glaucoma Consultant, 1 Paediatric Consultant, 2 Medical Retina Consultants & 1 Oculo‑plastic Consultant.
There is an expectation to be able to review at least 8 new patients or 10‑12 follow‑up patients (depending on complexity) or a mix of new and follow‑up patients for each 4‑hour session.
There is an expectation to be able to review at least 20 patients for a virtual glaucoma clinic per 4‑hour session.
