An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Trust as a Consultant Medical Oncologist covering breast cancer.

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest and busiest Trusts in London with a well‑established national and international reputation for clinical excellence and world‑class care. In January 2025, the Royal Free London and North Middlesex University Hospitals Trusts merged, and we now deliver care to over 2 million people a year through our four main health units. There are chemotherapy infusion suites to treat cancer patients at The Royal Free, Finchley Memorial, North Middlesex and Chase Farm health units whilst radiotherapy is delivered at the Royal Free and North Middlesex health units.

The Trust is one of the highest volume providers of breast cancer care within London.

The post‑holder will work alongside medical and clinical oncology colleagues at the Royal Free and Chase Farm heath units and will be essential for service provision as well as the development of the oral SACT clinics.

The successful candidate should have experience of working within a multidisciplinary team; have a wide experience in Medical Oncology but in particular in breast management.

Education and Professional Qualifications
  • Eligible for GMC registration and entry onto the GMC specialist register for Medical Oncology
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Membership of the Royal College of Physicians
  • Accreditation by the RCP or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT (or equivalent) at time of interview
  • Postgraduate medical degree (MD, PhD or equivalent)
Experience / Knowledge
  • Experience of managing Breast Oncology patients and providing acute Oncological care
